Vision Therapy in Lithonia & Marietta, GA

Help for Eye Teaming, Focus, and Visual Discomfort—Starting with a Simple Evaluation

Some vision problems are not about clarity. They are about how the eyes work together. At Lithonia Family Eyecare and Eyecare of Marietta, we evaluate and treat patients with symptoms like eye strain, double vision, and reading difficulties, even when their prescription is correct.

We provide basic in-office vision therapy for binocular vision issues and refer out for advanced therapy if needed. If your child is struggling in school or feeling eye fatigue at work, we can help you understand if vision therapy is the right next step.

What Is Vision Therapy?

Vision therapy uses structured exercises to improve how your eyes move, focus, and work together. It helps retrain the visual system by strengthening the connection between your eye muscles and brain.

We may recommend therapy if we identify:

  • Eye teaming or tracking issues
  • Poor convergence (trouble turning eyes inward)
  • Focus fatigue during near work
  • Reading discomfort not explained by glasses
  • Visual attention or memory problems

This type of therapy can help children and adults experiencing symptoms during school, work, or everyday tasks.

Who May Benefit from Vision Therapy

We see patients from Stonecrest, Marietta, and surrounding areas who are experiencing symptoms like:

  • Blurry or double vision that comes and goes
  • Difficulty staying focused when reading or using screens
  • Losing place when reading or skipping lines
  • Eyestrain, burning, or headaches with near tasks
  • Slow reading fluency or low reading comprehension
  • Trouble switching focus between near and far distances

Many of these patients have had normal eye tests but continue to struggle. That is often where functional vision testing makes the difference.

Treatment Options We Offer at Our Locations

At both the Lithonia and Marietta offices, we provide:

  1. Binocular vision evaluations to assess how the eyes team together.
  2. Basic in-office therapy sessions for mild convergence or tracking issues.
  3. Home exercises to support treatment when appropriate.
  4. Referrals to local providers for more complex cases.

If advanced care is needed, we will connect you with a specialist nearby and continue coordinating your care to ensure you receive the full support you need.

Book a Vision Therapy Evaluation

We provide vision therapy evaluations at both of our Walmart-based clinics. If your child passed a vision screening but still struggles to read, or if you are dealing with visual fatigue that glasses haven't resolved, let us take a closer look.
